Privacy Policy
Babkin doesn't collect your data. Everything you log stays on your devices and in your own iCloud. Babkin has no server and no accounts, and can't see your log.
What the app stores, and where
| What | Where | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Your household, its members' chosen names, your children's names and avatars, and every entry you log | On your iPhone, and in your iCloud when iCloud is on | You, and the people you invite to your household |
| Today's entries as short labels, and your children's names | On your Apple Watch, for the day | You |
| Your Premium purchase | With Apple, on your Apple Account | You and Apple |
Babkin never asks for your child's birth date or real name; any name or nickname works.
Your iCloud
When iCloud is on, Babkin keeps your household in your private iCloud database, in Babkin's own space there. Apple stores and protects it under Apple's Privacy Policy. Babkin, the developer, has no access to it. When you share your household, the people you invite can read and add to it, through Apple's iCloud sharing.
What Babkin doesn't do
- No accounts, emails or passwords.
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or crash reporting.
- No selling or sharing of data: Babkin doesn't have it.
Your choices
- Download your data: Settings > Your data > Download your data, a file made on your phone.
- Erase it: Settings > Erase all Babkin data removes it from your phone, your Apple Watch and your iCloud (or, for a household shared with you, you leave it).
- Stop syncing: turn iCloud off for Babkin in the iPhone's Settings; the log then stays on your phone only.
Purchases
Babkin Premium is a one-time in-app purchase, handled by Apple. Babkin learns only whether your Apple Account owns it, on your phone.
Children
Babkin is for parents and caregivers, not for children to use. It holds what you choose to log about your child, and nothing leaves your devices and iCloud.
Who publishes Babkin
Babkin is made and published by Lorand Gombos, an individual developer in Romania.
If you write to Babkin
If you email privacy@babkin.app or support@babkin.app, your message and email address are used only to answer you. They're kept in the developer's mailbox (Gmail, run by Google), and deleted once they're no longer needed to help you, at the latest a year after the conversation ends. You can ask to see or delete them at any time. If you think your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP, or to the authority where you live.
